Travel stoRy on Tuesday takes you today to the city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. One of the beloved tourist attractions are Selaron Steps- Escadaria Selarón. They are a unique piece of art by Chilean- born artist Jorge Selarón. There are 215 steps covered with 2000 tiles from over 60 countries around the world.
What once started as renovation project of the stairs in front of the house, became a long time challenge stoRy. He himself claimed “This crazy and unique dream will only end on the day of my death”.
He continue his eccentric project for 23 years, until he was found dead on the stairs …
