Travel stoRy #51 – Machu Picchu (Peru)
Travel stoRy on Tuesday takes us to one of the New Seven Wonders in the World. Machu Picchu is a 15th century citadel on a mountain, 2430 m above the sea level. It was Inca’s secret ceremonial city,
invisible from below, surrounded by agricultural terraces and natural springs. The Incas abandoned it a century later. Only 1911 it was “ discovered” by American Archeologist Hiram Bingham.
