StockholmSubwaystoRy #84 – Hägerstensåsen

26.11.2017

Before we leave November behind, we have one more subway stoRy to share with you all. This weekend we are going to talk about Hägerstensåsen. Let’s start!

Today’s station was inaugurated in April 1964, even if tram services was going on around here since 1946. Nowadays, it serves the red line and is situated between Telefonplan and Västertorp in a southern Stockholm district from which it gets its name.

Hägerstensåsen is an open-air station, connected to a viaduct over Personnevägen. It has one large platform and two ticket halls at its ends. However, it’s one of the least busiest stations in the city, with only a bit more than 5.000 people passing by here on a regular weekday.

Want to see more of Stockholm’s beautifully designed stations? Keep an eye on your project’s Facebook page (Stockholm Subway StoRy) and check out our blog for new posts regarding the Stockholm subway. Be a part of the StoRy!
