Travel stoRy #21 – Triumphal Arch of Orange (France)
Travel stoRy on Tuesday brings you this week the Triumphal Arch of Orange, situated in south-eastern France.
As the title suggests, the Triumphal Arch is placed in the city of Orange. The arch is part of UNESCO’s World Heritage Site list since 1981.
The objective is believed to be constructed during the reign of the first Roman Emperor, Augustus (27 BC – 14 AD). Even if the construction date is not clear, it’s known that the monument celebrates the veterans of the Gallic Wars.
