At the edge of Dramaten (the Royal Dramatic Theatre) there is a statue of a woman. Her stomach is shiny, in contrast to the rest of her body. When passing by, stop and touch her stomach to feel warmth.
Yes, you have just touched Stockholm’s warmest statue!!! It depicts Margareta Krook, one of the most excellent Swedish actresses in the 20th century. She used to stand here and smoke before and during the rehearsals. She could afford taking several breaks, as she was said to have had a genial memory: reading once the script was enough to remember her role.
